As a qualitative researcher, Tess has led projects designed to understand the experiences of young people from underserved communities across the country and propose recommendations for policies and practices that promote racial justice.
In addition to using research to answer pressing questions in education, Tess uses her communications savvy to advocate for school experiences that cultivate students’ agency, critical thinking and problem solving.
Tess holds a Master’s in Sociology of Education from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts from The George Washington University. Based in New York, you can find Tess strolling through her favorite farmers’ markets and searching for a great cup of coffee.
