Samina Noorani Kingsley joins Transcend as a Partner on the School Design team with over a decade of experience working in public schools in Colorado and Texas.
Prior to Transcend, she taught high school English and Humanities at West High School in Denver, CO. After moving to Dallas, TX, she served as a K-12 Instructional Coach where she helped codify and share best practices through the Uplift Education network. Later as a high school assistant principal, then principal, she – with the support of her team – implemented design principles to reimagine what excellent education means for students through deep values setting and community building.
She then transitioned to supporting Dallas ISD school and executive leadership through the Teaching Trust as a Managing Director of Leadership Development and Program Officer. Samina has deep expertise in supporting school leaders to set up and evolve systems focused on equity to foster community schools.
Samina holds a B.A. in Psychology and Political Science from Syracuse University and a M.A. in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Urban School Leadership from Southern Methodist University.
Originally from New York, Samina now lives in Dallas with her husband and is expecting their first child. She enjoys spending her time laughing with loved ones, cooking, eating, and making music with her husband. Samina values family, compassion, and community.
