Lizzy Sanders
Lizzy Sanders joins Transcend as an Instructional Designer for RevX. She is driven by an educational philosophy that centers on breaking away from traditional norms. She aims to continue her career creating engaging learning experiences that put students first, kindle curiosity, ignite creativity, and instill a lifelong love of learning.
Prior to joining Transcend, Lizzy studied Psychology at Whitworth University, where she cultivated a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and learning. Lizzy then completed a teacher preparation program through the Teach For America North Carolina corps and Eastern Carolina University. She has since been an educator in various roles, serving as a 4th and 5th grade ELA, Math, and Science teacher in different school districts.
In her current role designing K-12 project-based learning curriculum for RevX, Lizzy provides support to school leaders and teachers as they apply a framework that provides structure to real world projects and empowers young people to be changemakers within their communities.
Beyond dedication to education, Lizzy finds joy in exploring new recipes, staying active through running and strength training, spending time with family and friends, traveling to new places, and going to see live music and shows!
