Kaci Morgan

Kaci is a Useable Knowledge Manager on the Products & Capacity Building Team. In this role, she leverages her expertise and creativity to conduct research and develop educational resources that spark and champion innovative and equitable school systems and practices. She is an award-winning teacher, leader, and communicator with an affinity for details and lifelong learning. Most notable, though, is her heart for communities.

Kaci began her career as a co-teacher and thought partner for Humanities Amped, a transformative secondary project-based learning model rooted in social consciousness. Her mentorship under Dr. Susan Weinstein during this time coupled with her Indigenous-based cultural understandings of learning as transformative and communal informed her subsequent work in creating and spreading revolutionary education models.

Since Humanities Amped, Kaci has worked in various roles spanning federal policy implementation, program design, educational leadership, and innovative K-12 instruction. She was a pivotal member of the founding team of a project-based learning high school in Dallas that leads learning journeys in moveable cross-curricular pods. During her tenure designing and leading instruction on campus, Kaci received an Outstanding Teaching Award from Humanities Texas, and the school earned a perfect score for Texas Education Agency’s equity measure. Other roles have included leading instructional teams and serving as a school leader at a turnaround school with a dual language program. Her fire for building educational spaces that transform led her to her most recent work supporting the U.S. Office of Indian Education and access to Native American language learning across the country.

Kaci holds a B.A. with Honors from Louisiana State University in English, with a focus in secondary education, an M.Ed. from Harvard Graduate School of Education in Language and Literacy Development, and an M.Ed. from Southern Methodist University in Urban Educational Leadership.
