Candace joins Transcend as a Talent Recruitment Manager and is thrilled to be part of a dynamic group of leaders in the pursuit of creating equitable learning environments. In her new role, Candace is looking forward to building meaningful relationships, developing recruiting and staffing strategies, streamlining recruiting processes, and improving client hiring efficiencies.
Prior to joining Transcend, she enjoyed serving students and families in various capacities. Candace began her career supporting operations work with Teach for America Houston. Her next professional milestone came through her role as a Student Support Manager with Communities in Schools Houston. In her most recent position, Candace had the opportunity to advocate for equitable resources for students and families through Wraparound Services for Houston ISD.
Candace earned her BA in Humanities from Florida State University and her master’s in Social Work from Florida A&M University. When not advocating for students, teachers and communities, she loves trying new food and smoothie recipes, enjoying live music, smashing her fitness goals in the gym, and making lifelong memories with friends and family.
