Aminah Sheard
Aminah Sheard joins Transcend as a Partner Portfolio Director bringing a deep commitment to advancing equity and innovation in education. With over 15 years of experience in K-12 education leadership, Aminah has dedicated her career to empowering students and educators alike.
In her previous role as the Associate Director of Programming at Code2College, Aminah spearheaded the organization’s first all-female coding bootcamp, expanding opportunities for underrepresented students in STEM fields. She also led professional development focused on addressing implicit bias and its impact on teaching and learning, driving more inclusive practices across programming.
Aminah also served as an Assistant Principal in two Texas districts, where she fostered strong school cultures, developed leadership capacity among staff, and improved overall program effectiveness. Her career began as an ESOL teacher, where she designed impactful instructional strategies that supported diverse learners and strengthened school-family partnerships.
Aminah holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas and a Master of Education in Educational Technology Leadership from Lamar University.
Beyond her work in education, Aminah enjoys spending time with her husband and son, listening to audiobooks, and hopes to one day embark on luxury RV adventures. She is excited to bring her expertise and passion for educational equity to Transcend, contributing to the organization’s mission of transforming schools and creating lasting change for students.
