Jeeyoon is exploring the in-between spaces. As a biracial Asian-American who grew up in the crossroads of three differing hometowns, she has never had a succinct answer for, “where are you from?”
As Community Manager she works on strategy development, community programming, and operations for the Transcend Community. She believes strongly in the role that relationships play in change work and is excited to build new possibilities with Transcend’s vibrant community of educators and innovators.
Jeeyoon has worked in the nonprofit sector since 2014 supporting creative youth development and out-of-school time programming at organizations like ZUMIX, Silver Lining Mentoring, and Emerson College with roles in direct service, fundraising, operations, events, and program management. She is a first-generation college graduate and alumni of Emerson College (MA Digital Marketing & Data Analytics, BS Print & Multimedia Journalism), the Massachusetts Promise Fellowship, and the Institute for Nonprofit Practice.
She currently lives in San Diego, CA. Jeeyoon can often be found doing her absolute best to keep up personal creative practices, baking surprises for her loved ones, and getting lost in sound.
