Our team reviews applications on a rolling basis. As you navigate our open roles, you may notice there are two types of openings: active search and resume drop.
Active search roles are immediate openings we are actively looking to fill.
Roles listed as “resume drop” are not in an active hiring process. Rather, once we have received your resume, we will share it with the hiring team. If, and when we are able to move forward, we will reach out to you with next steps.
You can access all of our active roles and opportunities here.
We understand it can be hard to narrow down which role is the perfect match! Candidates are encouraged to apply for roles that closely match their skills, interests, and experience.

We strongly encourage all candidates to learn more about our work through our Transcend website. Many roles also include mixed media components (videos, day in the life, etc.) for candidates to get a better feel for how they may experience the role.
Transcend is dedicated to creating a work environment where all people can thrive. If you have a need for special accommodations (e.g., closed captioning) or prefer to conduct the interview via phone in order to be at your best during your interview, please do let us know.
At Transcend, our team and culture are our greatest assets, and we care deeply about hiring because, given our size and close-knit community, every new teammate feels like a huge deal!
As a result, we hire with rigor, clarity, and intention to ensure a mutual match and to ensure that both our staff and candidates (aka you) experience a positive hiring process.
In addition to gathering evidence, we strive for our hiring processes to live out all our core values, particularly love, long-term, perpetual beta, and diverse voices. So there are opportunities to mutually exchange feedback, meet various teammates, and see our core values in action.
Given this, our hiring process takes time and depends on many factors. We encourage you to keep us updated if you are under time pressures or your circumstances have changed.
Culture
Yes! All Transcend staff work 100% remotely. Many roles require routine travel to support schools and to collaborate. Please see the specifics in each job description.
To collaborate and build community, we provide regular opportunities throughout the year to connect with your team for in-person gatherings, all staff retreats, and professional development. We also stay connected through our Slack channels and regular face time via Zoom.
Travel
The travel allocation is specific to each role and can be found in the heading of each job description. We encourage candidates to review this information before applying to determine if the role’s expected travel fits their level of comfort.
For our Partners of School Design Services role, in particular, the travel allocation is ~35% of the time: 2 trips a month for 2-3 days at a time.
