Transcend is a national education nonprofit founded on the beliefs that we must reimagine schooling so all children can realize their infinite potential. We also believe that communities have a crucial role in driving this work.

Transcend pursues this mission by partnering with communities to support their school design processes and then shares the tools, models, and insights from this work across our national network of schools, districts, and partners in philanthropy and policy. To date, Transcend has worked directly with schools and leaders in nearly 450 schools and districts serving over 1.2M students. Our learnings and resources have reached thousands more across the country.

Our design work is undergirded by our Leaps for Equitable, 21st-Century Learning. These Leaps help schools move from one-size-fits-all experiences built for a bygone era, to learning that truly provides an equal opportunity to every student and is responsive to the demands and opportunities of the 21st century.

Ultimately, Transcend works to be part of collective solutions so that all young people can thrive in and transform the world.
