Playbook of Tools and Guidance
Many school communities feel overwhelmed by the work of responding to and recovering from COVID-19. Transcend’s aim is to help ease the load through tools and guidance you can immediately use as you prepare for the fall and beyond.
Below you’ll find a playbook of these tools and guidance to help you develop a Recovery to Reinvention Plan. You can access these materials in one complete set through the “Full Playbook” button, or in smaller pieces through the additional buttons below. The Playbook is best used in Google Docs.
We recommend you take on your Recovery to Reinvention planning in two phases. First, lay the foundation by grounding in your vision, constraints, and guiding principles for planning, as well as establishing your Recovery Leadership Team.
Then, build on this foundation to complete eight key components of your plan for the coming school year. These are loosely in order of how we’d recommend you build your plan, although you’ll probably need to loop back to earlier components as later ones become clearer. Depending on your timeline and the needs of your community, you may also choose to jump around or focus on a smaller subset of these components.
