Roads to Reinvention: Building Equitable Learning Environments, with Edgecombe County Superintendent

Join AASA + Transcend + the BELE Network in Roads to Reinvention: Building Equitable Learning Environments. This interactive webinar, hosted by AASA and Transcend, highlights Superintendent Valerie Bridges from Edgecombe County (NC), whose work was recently featured in the New York Times. It will showcase how her district has been reinventing itself using Transcend’s Designing for Learning resources, based on the Science of Learning Development. Edgecombe County Schools have centered students and the community, launched microschools, and are scaling pilots, and Dr. Bridges is leading her central office team to productively engage with district and state policies to move the reinvention work forward. Dr. Bridges will be accompanied by a principal and student involved in the redesign work. The webinar will also feature BELE Network partner Dave Paunesku, Senior Behavioral Scientist at Stanford University, and Founding Director of PERTS, a non-profit R&D institute. We’ll have many opportunities for questions and discussions, and all participants will receive no-cost resources to support their roads to reinvention.
